Hydrofoil Supported Catamarans
Icarus Marine has specialist expertise in the design of hydrofoil-supported catamarans (aka HYSUCAT). These vessels offer numerous performance benefits. Icarus Marine offers full turnkey solutions for such vessels, including the hydrodynamics, hydrofoil construction, Class approval of the hydrofoils and performance guarantees.
R&D
We cooperate with leading Universities on R&D relating to high-speed marine craft. By supporting post-graduate engineering and naval-architecture research programs we are continiously improving our knowledge base.
Technology Transfer
Icarus Marine can provide full technology transfer for setting up or upgrading shipbuilding facilities. This includes design of facilities, production procedures, quality assurance and production engineering.
Production Support
Icarus Marine can provide local production support by placing technical specialists onsite at the shipyard to support the production team. Icarus Marine can also support with supply of complete knockdown kits (CKD) and equipment supply for local production. We specialise in supporting shipyards in Africa, Middle East and SE Asia.
Icarus Marine’s team of specialists has been involved in ship design and construction support since 1997 and we provide specialist consulting services to Industry and Government on matters such as tender documentation, industry surveys and general consulting to support government policy making.
